Satoshi wandered among the planes, the grass soft underneath his paws as he wandered around. He wondered if he'd become a wolf that his father could be proud of... he'd been a bit pushy when it came to him being 'perfect' as he'd so stated to Satoshi many times. Satoshi had done his best but it always seemed to happen that his father was never quite proud of him. He always had to do more... what he'd done was never enough it seemed. Satoshi hadn't even met any other of the wolves around here. He'd been practicing and training so hard to become the perfect son that his father wanted to have so that he could have someone to live on in his stead that he hadn't even met any of the other wolves that lived around here. Should he look for some to meet? He shook his head at that thought. His father might think they were a bad influence... and his first loyalty was to his pack and his father... he wouldn't do anything that could possibly disappoint him. He just... couldn't do that to him... it would break his heart. He sighed as he looked over the plains with his violet eyes that he'd gotten from his mother.

Spud wandered the grassy Great Planes, the grass soft to the touch under his paws which ached slightly from the running he had done earlier, in a way he was training, though he knew that physical work would not really help him in his endeavours to one day become an Alchemist and maybe even the Head Alchemist one day but still who knew, this physical training could just bring him closer to that dream. “One day... I'll get there one day I'm sure of it.” His aching paws were getting too numb for him to handle, so he decided he would sit himself down for a wee while. The air smelt fresh and good, he looked around and spotted the Western Forest far in the distance, Spud was always curious as to why they were not allowed to go and visit the Dark Camps, he didn't understand.. He never understood why the Darker furred wolves were treated so unfairly, he didn't believe in it, it was one of the reasons he did not want to be a guard, he would not be able to handle it.
As he averted his gaze from the Western Forest he picked up the figure of another, he tilted his head slightly in curiosity his new discovery, and of course his curiosity got the better of him and he was already back on his aching paws as he walked over towards the new face. He greeted the other with a soft and friendly smile and a dip of his head. “Greetings fellow, I am Spud, might I trouble you for your name?”

Satoshi was gazing up at the stars when he jumped a bit upon hearing a voice. He'd been too distracted and tired from his earlier training it seemed to hear the other coming towards him. He looked over a bit, curiously before he suddenly grinned. He chuckled a bit then. "For a cute guy like you? Sure~" He said playfully.
He tilted his head slightly, looking almost cheeky and flirtatious all at once as he smirked slightly. "My name's Satoshi.... Spud is quite the interesting name.... haven't seen you around before..." He stated simply, his eyes holding a small twinkle of mischief in them as he gazed at the wolf in front of him. He honestly didn't understand why, but he suddenly felt that he had to be this way.
He almost felt as if he would pop if he was his normal serious self and so had to balance it out... what better way to balance out someone who's completely serious then to act like a total flirt right?? At least, that was his logic at the moment. He'd never met anyone else before so he didn't know if it was appropriate to act this way or not. Personally, he didn't think he actually felt that it mattered at the moment.

Spud's smile grew bigger it seemed he did not have to act respectful at all, granted he should still act a little bit respectful but Satoshi didn't seem to mind at all. “Yes, well I don't really know how I can explain my name any further, Spud.. its... it's uh... well I don't actually know.” He chuckled softly at his own failure of being able to explain his name... Then again he wondered himself why his parents, wherever they were, why that had named him that, was there a meaning to it? He shook his head to clear his thoughts. “Y'know you 'aint that bad looking yourself” he said with a playful wink and the poking out of his tongue.
It seemed that Spud had forgotten about his aching paws which forced him to have to sit down and he rubbed them on the soft green grass as if trying to massage the pain away. He looked up at Satoshi. “So what's a guy like you doing out here at this time hmm?” Smile still on his face and a small shine in his eyes, Spud had never acted like this around a wolf before albeit a male or a female.

Satoshi laughed a bit, sitting down gently on the earth below him as he listened. He hummed, thinking about it. "Well... I guess I needed time alone to think about what's been going on... I've been training so much to make my father proud that I needed a little bit of a break from it all.... My father I think wants to make me exactly like him or something... it's strange... or at least he wanted me to before he and Mother were sent away somewhere for a mission or something. Least.. that's what I was told. I'm doing my best to be a wolf that my father and mother would have been proud of." He grinned gently. He gazed up at the stars again for a moment.
"They sure are beautiful to look at though.... Sometimes I wish they could always be out just so I could gaze at them all day long." He looked over at the other wolf, his eyes sparkling a bit in slight amusement at the other, though he wasn't sure why he felt so amused. It was a strange concept to him, to feel so amused for no real reason at all... he kind of liked it though and so he was glad that the other wasn't afraid to just act a little goofy or anything like that. It was good.

Spud looked up to the night sky, Satoshi was right the stars were beautiful to look at as the glistened against the black blanket that was the night sky. He then looked over at Satoshi and a small grin formed across his muzzle, there was something about him, as determined and dedicated to his training as he was there was a friendly sort of feeling emanating from him, plus when he relaxed he didn't seem that different from Spud at all, he was still goofy and a joker.
“They are beautiful indeed” Spud replied to Saotashi “As for them staying out all the time I don't think that would help with my already... 'fatal' condition of running head first into trees... even if I don't mean to”. A chuckle left him as he said that, he was lucky, for now there was no trees in sight after all they were in a plane, basically just grass as far as the eye could see. Spud quickly averted his gaze to the direction of the Western Forest, he could of sworn he heard a howl, a howl of pain and torment. “Hey Satoshi, did you hear that, that.... never mind I'm probably just hearing things” he gave a soft smile to Satoshi but then slowly looked back, was it really his imagination?

Satoshi blinked at this, chuckling. "Running head first into trees huh? Sounds a bit dangerous... maybe you should get that checked." He teased playfully before he carefully lied down, relaxing as he stretched a bit. It had been a while since he'd been able to just stretch like this. He looked over lazily at the other wolf before suddenly his body was completely tense.
Satoshi's ears perked as his head lifted, trying to hear again what he thought he'd heard. He frowned a bit, his ears flattening then before he looked once more over at Spud. He shook his head a bit then. "No... Spud.... that wasn't your imagination... not unless I'm beginning to hallucinate myself and hear things like blood-chilling howls from a distance..." He shivered a bit then. "It.... almost sounded like... a victory howl.... or perhaps more likely.... a death howl...." He stated then, his eyes narrowing slightly at the thought.
Satoshi just couldn't believe that something like that could happen somewhere that seemed so peaceful only moments before.. and he frowned a bit because of it before he carefully stood up and walked closer toward where Spud was standing. He suddenly wanted to stand near the other wolf... almost as if he thought somewhere inside of him that if they stood together like this that whatever it was wouldn't dare come near them or something even though he knew that more likely then not if the wolf that made that sound was gonna come this way, them standing close together like this wasn't going to change it's mind.

Spud chuckled as Satoshi suggested he get himself checked for his tree condition. "No Satoshi I'm sure it is something that will pass and if not... Well at the risk of sounding like a complete weirdo... It is actually quite fun at the most of time, I guess you could say.. It clears my head" Spud chuckled at his dry humor.
Spud almost instantly noticed the change of expression on Satoshi's face it went from a light smile to that of a frown in an instant. Spud watched as Satoshi closed in and stood near him. "I guess it wasn't my imagination if you heard it then". He walked up to where Satoshi was now standing and sat right next to him their bodies basically touching, even he knew that if they were this close what ever it was that made the noise may think twice about attacking the pair of wolves. "Let us hope that whatever it was just doesn't come near the both of us, I don't think I have the capability to fight to well in close combat, I've been training my mind more or less, I want to be an alchemist and hopefully one day become the head alchemist in the castle, however I do know some basic close combat fighting moves so I guess I could defend myself, but only minimally".

Satoshi chuckled a bit dryly at Spud's attempt at a joke before he shook his head a bit. It definitely wasn't just his imagination... He glanced over at the wolf before he gave him a small grin. "Don't worry about it Spud.. if it does decide to come over here.. I'm sure that whatever it is I can take it down on my own. I've been training to fight multiple opponents of differing strengths for a while... I want to be the best I can be really... so this will just be more practice. "
He sighed a bit then, still stock still at the moment. "It's... kind of why I don't know many wolves around here... as well as the fact that not many wolves know me. I've been training on my own... not wanting anyone to really bug me or possibly get hurt because of my training..." He shook his head then and immediately focused on the task at paw. He refused to let his new friend get hurt by whatever it was that was out there if it decided to try and hurt him or something like that. He wasn't going to let anything happen to any of the wolves here.. and this was just a good start for training to protect other wolves in a way anyway. He hadn't been able to really train while protecting another... it would be a different way of fighting because if there was multiple opponents then you'd have to have eyes on the back of your head too to keep an eye on the one under your protection.

Her pitch black paws hardly touched the ground as she lopped with crimson optics peering ahead. They shone brightly, like no eye should, and not a pupil sat in their depths. Her shinning orbs were nothing but crimson, settling on the world before her with such a deep malice it could shake the strongest of warriors to fear.
Her form was a shadow, it seemed. A pitch black color coated her form that sucked in the dappled light that flittered in the trees. Ebony seemed to lift off her in a mist, lifting into the air and swirling around her as she walked. Tail swished behind her as she walked through the trees untill she reached the edge and paused. Crimson peered ahead, settling on the stone of the castle before they narrowed maliciously.
She stood there for a moment, paws settled in the grass, tail swishing behind her as the mist surrounded her and around her paws. The castle was her enemy, the monarchy that lived within it her victims. Yet she could not set foot there, for it was blessed by the gods above. She would perish if she stepped foot there. Instead she turned her shadowed skull to gaze towards the wolves within the great planes.
She seemed to grin, yet the smile could not be seen. Slowly she padded forward, towards the lake and, without stopping, stepped onto the waters. Her paws did not sink, instead they grazed the surface as she moved towards the Great Planes, living behind ringlets of movement, showing she did, infact, touch the earth. She approached them stealthily, never making a sound in the tall grasses before she stopped feet from them. Crimson orbs glared at the two, obviously light wolves.
"Stand down, mongral." She growled in a snake like voice, powerful and godlike. Yet her muzzle did not move, she just stood there and glared as the black mist settled around her paws, twisting in the air around her. Her eyes were on the guard, whom she had heard boast his strength to take down any wolf and about his training. Pathetic vermin, the kind that diminish even the lowly name of Light Wolf.

Spud felt a shiver down his spine and his fur stood on end as he heard a snakeish voice, he gazed at her fear in his eyes What's with her? And that mist, how...is she doing that. Spud had never actually met a dark wolf before, were they all like this, was it right for the wolves of the castle to hate them so, or was it the mistreatment of them that drove them to act like this in the first place, whatever it was, he did not hate, no, no matter what he was not going to submit to the hatred of ALL dark wolves, but this one... maybe, still maybe not.
When Spud could finally grasp his voice and put it to use he asked one thing. ”Wh-who are you?” His voice was shaky and filled with fear, nothing had prepared him for meeting someone like this. His gaze was still fixed upon her, as much as he wanted to look away in fear it was like he was just drawn to looking at her, he was near paralysed with fear and barely a muscle in his body would move. He had not prepared himself very much for close quarter combat, granted he could swipe with paws but it would be of no effect, he had not trained his muscles he had only trained his mind as much as he could, physical fighting was not his forte nor did he ever enjoy such forms of combat either, his choice was magic, but unfortunately he still hadn't tapped in to the elements and hence forth could not control them yet, but one day he would, but for now he was just a useless paralysed corpse in the way of everything, basically he was an easy target. His lower lips began to tremble and his tail went between his legs, he was now completely afraid.

Satoshi froze at the sound of the voice. His ears flicked forward as if to listen before flattened them against his head again. He refused to make his ear an easy target. He wouldn't let this wolf win... not easily at least. That is, if this creature could even be called a wolf.
He glanced over at Spud, hearing the fear in his voice as he spoke. Satoshi wasn't sure if he could protect the other, but he knew if nothing else, he could at least put up a brave front. He wouldn't let Spud know that he was scared. If he let the fear take control, then it would be just as if he'd given up. He swallowed a bit before he shifted his body slightly so that he was more in front of Spud, making sure that if she decided to attack she'd have to go through him first. He was sure, of course, that if she did attack however he'd be no match. He didn't know how he knew, he just did.
Even though his stance looked ready to attack, it was clear to anyone who looked that it was merely defensive and mostly a show. He didn't want his new friend getting hurt. He gazed at the one before them, watched the mist swirl around her paws, and took a deep breath to calm his nerves. "What is it that you want..?" He finally spoke. His voice sounded calm and controlled, but he showed subtle signs of being scared. The biggest sign though, was that it showed in his eyes. He could only hope that this creature decided not to attack...

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [bg=000000][atrb=background,http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x163/mary_cheese_cake/Ciambg-1.png] Blood optics stared at the two vermin before her, watching as they both sank into the depths of fear. The greatest weakness of the Light Pack was their inability to control their emotions, their fear, their hearts. Such an easy life they held, without having to fight to the death every day in order to see another minute on this wretched earth. The ability to fall in love, to flutter off and create more light pack vermin. Sure there was one law that forced them to give up their young if there was no male present, but that did not compare to the horrors within the camps. Horrors she had faced when she lived and breathed and fought to live.
The one male stepped more before his friend, seeming strong and proud and brave. Seeming, yet the devil was not fooled. A growl vibrated deep in her throat before she let out a bark that seemed to shake the heavens."Defensive or not, Vermin, you risk your life showing such disrespect and hubris." She snarled deeply, eyes narrowed as she gazed at the two of them. Slowly she stepped through the grass, circling them slowly as she took them in.
The one was a guard, strong, tall...arrogant. If he was sent into the camps for a day his throat would be torn, his blood drunken by the whelps, his skin salvaged into a bed, his body a meal for a starving wolf. "You will not survive...if you depend on the lessons taught to you by the Lights." She snarled deep in her throat as she circled them.
Her attention turned then to the other one, so shaken by fear he was nothing but a statue. The demon wolf appeared to grin, yet it could not be seen. She paused as she faced him, shinning blood red eyes glared deeply in his own. "How old are you, whelp?" She snarled deeply, completely ignoring his fear filled question for now. The demon wolf was not to be questioned. The fact that she appeared before these two vermin was a blessing from the devil. She could enrich their lives, show them the other side to the propaganda they were fed by their dictator of a King, or she could destroy them with a simple move.
She backed up then, standing feet from them and staring at the two vermin at once. "You dare question a blessing before you? Not many have been in my presence, vile Lights, and for that you should be enternally greatful. I have come with a warning, vermin, for your King, for his whelp, for the Lights and Darks of this world." She said with a loud, thunderous voice, a sound that seemed to fill the entire world.
"I have made a pact with Miama, the sky goddess and my sister. If history is to repeat itself, the world shall end, the sinners shall perish. I have come to warn you, vile lights, to see new ways, or you will never see another thing." She said with a snarl, glaring at them with deep blood red eyes. "Take my warning to heart, Vile Lights, for it is the only one I am giving to you."

Spud shivered more violently as the malevolent wolf… thing spoke to him, asking him of his age, but could Spud speak? He had to, whatever she was; she was a dark wolf, one with extraordinary powers, perhaps she could do something for him, as much as she seemed to hate the light pack maybe she would grant him this. Spud mustered up all the courage he could he padded up to the demon wolf until he was but a few inches from her face, he bowed down, knowing even if she was evil it was still the right thing to do, to show her respect, she was far more powerful than he was after all, she could probably crush him into a thousand pieces with a single blow from her paws. “F-forgive me miss, I’m Spud… an Istari at the castle… I’m three years of age currently…” Fear still filled his voice but he had to do it, he did not want to die.., No he was not ready to die, he knew it wasn’t his time yet.
This time still standing at the face of the demon wolf, he spoke once more his voice slightly back to normal. “Take me there… Obviously you have witnessed it… Take me there… Show me what happened; show me what really happens in the dark camps… Show me the other side to this so called propaganda… I never really was one for the racism of the light pack, their beliefs and what not… Though I have never witnessed the abduction of any as of late, nor have I seen inside the camps… But I want to understand... Please… However you do it, visions or time travel, show me the truth about the dark camps.” Spud had never openly defied the light pack’s laws before but he knew he had to now, so that he could get a glimpse into what the truth behind dark wolves disappearances really was… and what happened once they reached that place.

Satoshi stood there, stunned as he watched her move around them. His tail curled up underneath him a bit, showing clearly that he was afraid now. His ears perked up when he heard her speak, his heart plummeting into his stomach it seemed. What was that... about he wouldn't survive if he depended on the lessons of the lights..? What did she mean?
Satoshi swallowed a bit then, flinching a bit when she barked about questioning a blessing. Was she really a blessing in disguise...?? If she could help in his training to become stronger.. should he really be acting this hostile toward her...? He stood still, listening as she said she came with a message for the king, his 'whelp' as she'd put it, the lights and the darks. He could only assume that she'd meant the prince when she'd said his whelp. He continued to silently listen, finding that for some reason his legs had stopped shaking in her presence. When she mentioned Miama being her sister, he immediately realized who she was and how disrespectful he really had been in her presence. He couldn't believe that he was actually still alive after how he'd spoken to her.
He saw Spud move away from him and toward her then and blinked. "S-Spud..." He whispered then, taking an automatic step forward before he stopped. He swallowed a bit then, watching Spud as he moved toward the wolf. He listened to Spud's words, and couldn't help but be completely proud and amazed by how brave the other wolf was being. If spud could do it.. so could he. He realized then that he really should be open minded... that he should see what it was like on the other side... his father had always been so against darks.. but his mother had always whispered to him every night to not listen to his father when it came to the darks. She must have known something then... must have known that something wasn't right when it came to condemning the darks for the colour of their fur, because of her he'd always been having doubts about what the light guards were teaching him about the darks...
Satoshi lifted his head when Spud asked her to take him there, to show him what the darks had gone through, and he knew then what he had to do. He took a deep breath before he carefully walked forward to stand beside Spud. He raised his head then, trying to stand proud.. trying to seem as if he wasn't worried about his decision.. about what he'd see, but his head still slightly lowered, slightly tilted, showing that he knew what he was going to see if she obliged him would most likely change his life. Before he spoke, he bent his knees into a polite bow, one that hadn't been taught to him by the lights who did it with one leg still straight, but one that he'd taught himself. He bent both of his knees, actually putting himself in a vulnerable position which is why most guards avoided it.
Satoshi lifted his head then, gazing at her from where he knelt near the grass. "Please... Lady wolf... if it isn't too much trouble... forgive the foolish wolf I have been in your presence before now... and teach me what you will of the pain that you and your kin had to endure, so that I may do what I can to prevent a repeat, or at least aid those who are already suffering.." Even after Satoshi finished speaking, he stayed in that position, hoping to show her the respect he'd neglected to show before in his foolishness.
------------ Words: 635 Muse: Pretty good/Awesome Notes: The bow I tried to describe is basicly the pose he's in in his picture above XP
